Welcome to the exciting realm of what has been crafted – let's make it shine!
The Product / Services slide is an extension of the Solution slide, but it describes your creation. Now is the time to show it off!
You need to quickly explain or demo the following within 1-2 minutes:
- What have we invented and built?
- How does the magic happen?
- Why do your customers love using it?
Ensure your product/services slide explains how your offering is discovered, tested, bought, and serviced with little friction. Provide real-life examples by either using short video clips or even an offer to use the product there and then - at the pitch meeting!
Returning to our HealthTech startup example, where the challenge is a lack of mental health therapy, our remedy comes as an app connecting users to online therapists. Record a 30-to-60-second video of your app being used, and then give the URL or QR code for investors to try it themselves. You could also do a series of screenshots that can fit on a single slide or add supportive slides.
Nothing convinces an investor more than actually using your product - especially if they are a potential customer or user in their capacity as a consumer or professional.
The continuous trend in technology is to make things easier, faster, better, less expensive, and more available. The product/services slide needs to explain how you excel at product design and functionality that will make your solution habitual and ideally build a fan base of happy users and significant network effects.
If applicable, highlight your Product-Led Growth (PLG) advantage to showcase how your software's user-friendliness fosters easy adoption without a salesperson's intervention. Following the footsteps of B2B applications such as Slack and Notion, emphasize how your PLG approach sets you apart from competitors.
If your product is in its early stages, like a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) or prototype, share your product roadmap with investors so that they can envision your future direction and potential growth.
